B2Bi Solutions is venturing into engineering projects which will be divided into following phases:

• Project Proposal
• Development
• Designing
• Analysis
• Manufacturing Sourcing
• Costing
• Strategic Marketing
• Manufacturing Kick-off
• Product Delivery

The products will be targeted to retail giants like Walmart, Target, Meijer, IKEA etc. The products will range from consumer products like home appliances, electronics, furniture, bath fixtures and electrical fixtures. Engineers from different fields will be working on various aspects from start to finish of the projects. The projects phases with the roles of the engineers are as below:

• Development- Senior level Project Engineers will be involved in defining project specifics, setting project timeline, setting groups of engineers with appropriate skills and experience, delegating responsibilities and getting the projects completed.
• Designing- Design Engineers will be involved in working according to the project plan and completing designs of the products in various designing packages like Pro E Wildfire, Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks and AutoCAD. The designs will be then used to perform analysis
• Analysis- Engineers will perform FEA analysis to study structural ability, heat effect and fluid flow analysis to optimize the design. This will also lead to re-design of several parts to cut cost, ease manufacturing and surpass expectation.
• Manufacturing Sourcing- With the design complete and product ready to be manufactured and marketed, sourcing will be done by engineers specialized in manufacturing department. Focus will be to find vendors who can deliver the right product with the right quality and at least cost. Delivery lead time will be negotiated and the right vendors will be chosen and added to the list of preferred vendors of the company.
• Costing- This phase will involve in accurately calculating the total cost of the product which will involve its manufacturing, shipping, taxes, administrative overhead etc. This will help in marketing the product efficiently and at the competitive value.
• Strategic Marketing- Products will be aggressively marketed to the appropriate clients who are in need of quality products with least cost. This will mean several trips to client’s offices to present the design and the manufactured prototype. This will be the responsibilities of the Project Director and the CEO of B2Bi Solutions.
• Manufacturing Kick-Off- As the order is accepted and PO is received from the clients, the manufacturing will be kicked off and quality will be analyzed to check for six sigma quality level. Quality checking will be the responsibility of Quality Engineers with Six Sigma Certification.
• Product Delivery- Manufactured products will be shipped to client’s warehouse according to the timeline agreed upon. This will be the responsibility of Program Manager. He/She will be responsible to ensure on time and accurate delivery. He/She will also be responsible to procure delivery confirmation.
